CMS Hasche Sigle advises Argantis on sale of NordSüd Speditionsgesellschaft
Cologne, 02.07.2008The Cologne-based financial investor Argantis sold its majority holding in NordSüd
Speditionsgesellschaft mbH in the context of a management buy-out to BIP Investment Partners of
Luxembourg. A team coordinated by Dr Ralph Drouven advised Argantis on the transaction. Details of
the purchase price were not disclosed.
Argantis acquired the majority holding in NordSüd Speditonsgesellschaft just three years ago
and was able to increase the company's turnover from EUR 45 million to over EUR 75 million in this
time.
NordSüd Speditionsgesellschaft is a premium forwarding agency with branches in Germany, the
Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The company employs approx. 800 employees and has over 400
HGVs. Its important customers include internationally operating blue-chip companies such as
automobile manufacturers and suppliers, metalworking businesses and kitchen appliance
manufacturers.
