Oliver advises national and international clients on real estate and construction law, architectural and engineering law, particularly with regard to project development. He also has experience as counsel in litigation and in arbitration procedures concerning construction projects. Oliver represents owners, developers and hotel operators as well as construction companies, architects and engineers. His practice focuses particularly on mechanical and industrial plant engineering, primarily in the area of power plants and renewable energies.
Oliver also advises on German-Chinese legal relations.

Oliver studied law at the University of Cologne, the University of Copenhagen, the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing and the East China University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai.
Legal traineeship (Referendariat) at the civil chamber for copyright and press law at the Cologne Regional Court and the German Federal Cartel Office, division for mechanical and plant engineering.
With the Cologne office of CMS Hasche Sigle since 2009, in 2010 for three months at CMS China in Shanghai. 2011 admitted to practice in Germany. Doctoral candidate on antitrust law at the University of Cologne. Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArB).
