1972-1985 school in Munich. 1985 Abitur. 1985-1991 studied law at the Free University of Berlin. 1988-1993 studied fine art at the Berlin University of Arts. 1987-1988 studied law at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. 1992 First State Law Examination. 1993 appointed master scholar of the Berlin University of Arts. October-December 1994 trainee in Madras, India. Second State Law Examination in February 1995. 1995-1998 lawyer at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, chair of intellectual property and copyright. 1996 independent work as a lawyer in a joint legal practice. 1997 Doctorate in copyright law. January 1998 joined CMS Hasche Sigle. 2003 appointed honorary professor at the Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus.
