Stefan Segger is experienced in the fields of insurance contract law, insurance distribution, competition und corporate law. His focus is on major industrial losses and recoveries in the field of P&C and liability insurance. He has worked on contract law and has coached several transactions and in-house projects. Stefan has special knowledge of the particularities of insurance competition law.

Stefan Segger was born in 1970 in Greven,Westphalia. He studied law in Osnabrück, Lausanne and Bonn. Stefan was a scholar of the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst [DAAD]). In 1999 he obtained his doctorate degree at the University of Osnabrück. From 1999 to 2002, he worked as a lawyer in a Cologne law firm specialising in insurance law. From 2002 to 2006, he worked as an in-house-lawyer for the group legal department of the Gerling insurance group. He has been a specialist in insurance law (Fachanwalt für Versicherungsrecht) since 2004. From 2005 to 2006, he was a permanent guest member of the Commission for Competition and Cartel Law of the German Insurers’ Association. He has been working as a lawyer with CMS Hasche Sigle since 2007.
