Ralf Kurney is partner and head of the Corporate practice in our Berlin office. Ralf specialises in leading major M&A transactions and post-merger integrations for domestic and international clients. He has in depth knowledge of the Life Sciences industry. Ralf has significant experience in leading and organising significant teams of lawyers in major transactions.

Born in Duisburg in 1959. Studied law and economics at the Universities of Münster, Speyer and Hagen. First state exam (Erstes Juristisches Staatsexamen) in 1984. Legal trainee from 1985 to 1987. Second state exam (Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen ) in 1988; then joined the law firm of Sigle Loose Schmidt-Diemitz. In 1991 secondment to CMS partner offices in London. Partner since 1993. At Berlin office since 1995. Heads a team advising clients of the old and new economies in areas of corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, IPO and international business relations, especially in the UK and USA.
