Born on 4 January 1974 in Schwalmstadt. After A levels in Alsfeld and subsequent military service, studied law from 1994 until 1999 at the University of Gießen. 2000 study period abroad in Bristol (UK) and commenced traineeship at Gießen Regional Court. 2001 special leave to complete dissertation with Prof. Dr Jens Ekkenga, University of Gießen. 2002 until 2003 completion of traineeship, inter alia with seats at KPMG Beiten Burkhardt, Frankfurt am Main, and Picton Howell Solicitors, London. Joined CMS Hasche Sigle in November 2003. Doctorate in January 2004. December 2008 - July 2009 on Secondment with Rodyk & Davidson LLP in Singapore.
