Mr Heischmann is part of the Maritime, Shipping, transport and logistics practice group in Hamburg. He advises clients in respect of all aspects of maritime law, road, rail, sea and air transport and commercial law generally. The activities of Mr Heischmann include the representation of clients in litigation as well as the drafting and negotiation of contracts for the maritime and transport economy and in national and international trade.

Born 1978 in Frankfurt/Main. Mr Heischmann studied law in Heidelberg between 1999 and 2004. Master of laws at the University of Wales, Cardiff in Legal Aspects of Marine Affairs. 2005-2007 legal traineeship in Darmstadt, Frankfurt/Main, Hamburg and Malta. Trainee stages with lawfirms in Frankfurt/Main in Banking and Capital Markets Law and with a lawfirm in Valletta, Malta in Shipping, Transport and Finance Law. Joined CMS as a fully trained lawyer in 2008. Between 2008 and 2009, Mr Heischmann worked with CMS Hasche Sigle's Banking & Finance Team in Hamburg specializing maily in ship and project finance transactions.
