Focus

Kai Neuhaus advises and represents clients in all facets of EU and German competition law. He regularly represents clients in cartel cases (dawn raids and subsequent proceedings) and in merger control cases of the European Commission or the German Federal Cartel Office. Kai frequently advises clients on cooperation agreements with competitors or customers/suppliers (e.g. joint purchasing or R&D) and has particular expertise in distribution/vertical agreements (e.g. internet sales, distribution systems) and abuse of dominance.



Kai also provides legal advice in the field of trade law (WTO and EU), including anti-dumping proceedings and related questions of trade defence law, as well as ingeneral EU law (e.g. freedoms of the common market).



Amongst his clients are leading companies from manufacturing industries such as the IT, consumer products, chemical or automotive sectors as well as from service industries, in particular finance and insurance, media and trade.

Resume

Kai Neuhaus studied law at the univiersites of Augsburg, Lausanne and Munich and specialised in competition and trade law during his postgraduate studies (LL.M.) at the University College London. Kai joined the competition team of CMS Hasche Sigle in 2003 in the firm's Stuttgart office and relocated to the Brussels office in 2006. Kai advises and represents clients in all fields of EU and German competition law as well as in the field of trade law.
