Doctorate on comparative law with special reference to German/English consumer credit law. 1978 started practising as lawyer with Peltzer & Riesenkampff in Frankfurt am Main. 1981 – 1982 periods spent practising at law at firms in Philadelphia, New York, Houston and Milwaukee. 1982 admitted to partnership of Peltzer & Riesenkampff. 1996 appointed notary public.
