Born in 1959. Studies in Heidelberg and Freiburg; legal traineeship in Berlin. Doctorate on a constitutional law topic. 1989 to 1992 lawyer with Bruckhaus Westrick Stegemann in Düsseldorf. Specialist lawyer in administrative Law. In 1992 made partner at Hamburg office of Weiss & Hasche, one of predecessors of CMS Hasche Sigle. From 2001 to 2008 has served on the Council of the Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law (SEERIL) of the International Bar Association.
