Born in Berlin in 1942; studied law in Tübingen and Munich; doctorate on aspects of antitrust law in Munich. MBA of Institut Européen d`Administration des Affaires (INSEAD), Fontainebleau. Traineeship with the European Commission, Brussels. Started practising as a lawyer in Frankfurt in 1971. Partner since 1981 (until 1999 with Sigle Loose Schmidt-Diemitz & Partner before it became CMS Hasche Sigle). Honorary Professor of the University of the Saar (Saarbrücken), 2010. Of Counsel since 2011.
