David Kipping is an IP lawyer in the Cologne office of CMS Hasche Sigle. His practice spans both non-contentious counseling and contentious litigation in the fields of trademark, design, advertising and unfair competition law. Born 1977 in Troisdorf near Cologne; 1998-2000 and 2002-2005studied Lawat the University of Cologne; 2000-2002 studied Law at the Université Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne, obtaining LL.M. and Maître en droit degrees; 2005 first state examination; 2007 Ph.D. in Law with a thesis on “Das Recht der .eu-Domains” (English: “.eu domain name law”); 2006-2008 Legal Traineeship at the Appellate Court of Cologne including 15 months training with CMS Hasche Sigle; 2008 second state examination and admission to the Bar; since 2008 lawyer in the IP team of CMS Hasche Sigle.
