Born in Kassel in 1951. Bank apprenticeship with BHF-BANK in Frankfurt am Main from 1970 to 1972. Studied law at the University of Freiburg i. Br. from 1972 to 1976. University assistant at Geneva University 1977/78. University assistant at University of Freiburg i.Br. 1978-1980. Doctorate from Freiburg University law school for a thesis on legal problems of taking security for importation financial credits in 1980. Admitted to the Frankfurt am Main Chamber of Lawyers and joined Peltzer & Riesenkampff 1981. Visiting associate with Cahill, Gordon & Reindel in New York City and with Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles 1983.Notary public since 2000. Member of several supervisory and advisory boards.
