Resume

Christian Runte is member of the firm's Technology Group. He regularly advises major international and German companies of the software, hardware and IT-service industry. He has a special focus on EU and German data protection and privacy issues. Christian Runte has been in charge of several international compliance projects, technology transactions and complex IT outsourcing deals. He is co-chair of the Privacy Practice Group of the World Law Group (WLG) and a member of the German Association of Law and Information Technology (DGRI), the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), the German Data Protection Association (GDD) and of the German Lawyers Association (DAV). Christian Runte received his law degree from the Ludwigs-Maximilians-University in Munich in 1998. He is a regular speaker and published several legal articles on data protection, e-commerce and copyright law. Before joining CMS in 2000 he worked with a leading law firm in São Paulo, Brazil and Munich, Germany. In 2004/2005 he worked for the technology team of CMS Cameron McKenna in London.
