Berlin/Frankfurt – RREEF, the real estate subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, has acquired 221 residential units in the wider Berlin area for one of its institutional funds. The properties, principally semi-detached and terraced houses, are located in Ahrensfelde, Falkensee, in the Fahrland district of Potsdam, in the town of Werder/Havel and in the Glindow district of Werder/Havel. The vendor was the Semmelhaack Group.
In addition to CMS Hasche Sigle partner Dr Hermann Stapenhorst, Stefan Meusel played a key part in advising RREEF on all legal aspects of the transaction.
The houses were built between 1997 and 2008 and offer around 95 square metres of space on average. The portfolio had a vacancy rate of just 1.5% when the change of ownership took place.
