Stuttgart – Öhringen-based HUBER Packaging Group GmbH has sold its DECORATIVE division, which makes jewellery boxes. The division handles all such activities as a separate subsidiary, HUBER Decorative Packaging GmbH + Co. KG, Landshut. The purchaser is Munich-registered mutares AG. The company it has acquired from Huber produces and sells high-quality sales and promotional packaging made of tinplate. Customers include well-known manufacturers of branded goods and trading companies from a wide range of sectors.
A team led by lead partner and Corporate lawyer Dr Maximilian Grub advised HUBER Packaging Group GmbH on all aspects of the sale.
HUBER Packaging Group GmbH specialises in tinplate packaging. The family-owned business is celebrating its 140th anniversary in 2011. INDUSTRIAL, traditionally the company’s largest division, supplies metal packaging for chemical/technical goods and for paints and coatings. It is the market leader in Central and Eastern Europe, with production facilities in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Russia. The BEVERAGE division makes HUBER the world market leader for 5-litre party kegs in a range of innovative designs.
