Born in Hamburg in 1960. Studies in Hamburg. Thereafter management assistant to Prof J. F. Baur and Prof. K. Schmidt at the Institute for Trade, Shipping and Economic Law at the Universtiy of Hamburg and doctorate. During his traineeship a six-month period with a law firm in Sydney and a course in tax in Detmold. With Hasche & Eschenlohr since 1990, partner since 1992. After a year in the Hamburg office Mr Riede was involved in setting up the firm's Leipzig office (1991 to 1993) and took a six-month secondment with a US law firm in New York. Since 1993 he has been in the Hamburg office focussing on work for domestic and foreign banks, leasing companies and investors with regard to financing and leasing transactions. Head of the German CMS Practice Group Banking Finance and Capital Markets.
